Jan-Jacob van Blijswijk, BEng, is a civil engineer with over 23 years of experience of with the last 18 years within the Shell organization from civil engineer to international civil consultant. He has mainly worked at Downstream locations and for Downstream projects, which tent to be executed in brownfield environments. Along with his civil skills he also has been accountable for the WABO building permits and acts as a Global Subject Matter Expert for Marine Loading Arms within Shell. On behalf of Shell he is a member of the ISO organization on the Marine discipline 345040 \u2018Schips and maritime technic\u2019.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Marcel Bielefeld is managing partner of Allnamics Geotechnical & Pile Testing Experts, where he covers projects worldwide. Educated at the universities of Delft and Rotterdam, Bielefeld started his working carrier in the development of pile testing methods and equipment at TNO Building and Construction Research in The Netherlands.<\/p>

With the later experience of being the director of a foundation consultancy and a foundation contractor, as well as managing director of a precast concrete production firm, Bielefeld joined Allnamics, working as an independent all-round geotechnical consultant with special knowledge about pile testing and monitoring.<\/p>

Bielefeld is the author of many technical papers regarding pile testing methods, and the inspection and re-use of existing foundations. Bielefeld is a member of the DFI Testing and Evaluation Committee and Chairman of the 11th International Conference on Stress Wave Theory and Design and Testing Methods for Deep Foundations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Henry Tayler, ARUP<\/h3>

Henry is an Associate at Arup\u2019s London Geotechnical group with almost 15 years\u2019 experience delivering infrastructure, rail and building engineering projects. He has successfully led geotechnical and multi-disciplinary project teams from feasibility to construction in both the public and private sector. He has an interest in sustainable solutions in design & construction including re-use\/retrofit and has contributed to industry activities on the topic.<\/p>

Henry authored the UK Institution of Structural Engineers\u2019 \u201cshort guide to reusing foundations\u201d and is currently participating in authorship of two pieces of guidance: \u201cRepurposing and reconfiguring buildings\u201d \u00a0with CIRIA and \u201cCircular economy and reuse: guidance for designers\u201d – The Institution of Structural Engineers. \u00a0His team\u2019s work was recently recognized by Ground Engineering in 2021 and IStructE\u2019s awards 2022, \u00a0for delivery of a new lease of life to an existing building through structural re-use.<\/p>

Henry is a Chartered Civil Engineer, Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK Registered Ground Engineering Professional and currently Chair of the Editorial Panel for Ground Engineering Magazine.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Patrick IJnsen, Beng, MBA, IEng, is a geotechnical engineer with over 21 years of experience in deep foundation piling and sheet pile application, design, testing and monitoring. He is a member of the executive board of Van \u2018t Hek Groep in The Netherlands and a board member of DFI Europe. Furthermore, IJnsen remains a member of multiple CEN working and task groups for Eurocode revisions.
