After two hugely successful editions in Amsterdam and a landmark third edition in March 2026, the International Conference on Decarbonization and Re-use of Foundations returns for its 4th edition in 2027. What began as a niche technical gathering has grown into THE meeting point for engineers, contractors, developers and researchers working on one of construction’s biggest carbon-reduction opportunities: keeping existing foundations in the ground instead of demolishing and rebuilding.

From historical timber piles under Amsterdam’s canal houses to 20th-century concrete bridge piles, the central question keeps sponsors and delegates coming back: how do you reliably assess the remaining bearing capacity and service life of foundations whose original design records are gone? Answering that question and showcasing the products, testing
methods and software that make it possible is exactly why exhibitors and sponsors return year after year.

In 2027 we again build the programme around four sessions the client’s vision, design approaches, assessment of existing foundations, and construction-phase innovations giving your brand direct visibility in front of the decisionmakers who specify and buy in this space. For this 4th edition we head to Hamburg, Germany, hosted at Hotel Hafen Hamburg, overlooking the harbour a fitting backdrop for a conference about giving old foundations new life.
